H.H Swami Shree Ghamibirananda Saraswati

A young engineer, who had never made his debut in the courtyard of any Satsang, got influenced by a single satsang of H.H. Swami Chidanand Saraswati (the President of Divine Life Society) and recognized the purpose of his human life and dedicated this life to the self-welfare as well as social-welfare.

After studying scriptures from the Shrotriya Brahmanistha Guru H.H. Maha Mandaleshwar Swami Divyanand Saraswati (the then Ex-Peethadhiswar of Kailash Ashram, Rishikesh) in the beautiful bank of Maa Ganga in the Swargashram area of Rishikesh, this young celibate reached Kashi for the purpose of in-depth study. While living a life of penance with immense patience and enthusiasm, he gathered spiritual knowledge from many eminent scholars in the holy ‘city of wisdom’.

After assimilating the essence of Shad-Darshans and Upanishads, he travelled from Kashmir to Kanyakumari taking a blissful experience of a Parivrajak life.

This young brahmachari, who made his life a vow of pure conduct while burning his life with austerity, decided to make the city of Bhiwandi (in the state of Maharashtra) his first field of work. In a city like Hindu-Muslim riots stricken Bhiwandi, by teaching the classical tradition and the unique texts of Indian culture composed by our revered sages (i.e. Vyakarana, Shad-Darshans and Upanishads) and doing an up-to-date venture since 1996, this colossus resides in the hearts of people as H.H. Swami Shree Gambhiranand Saraswati.
